I'm an account guy-turned-copywriter so I've got thick skin and a lot of perspective.  I'm well aware of what account guys and clients are capable of when they get their hands on some creative and a sharpie, and I'm ready to pay my dues.  But I also know how to interpret a creative brief, ask smart questions and write copy that is clever, effective and on strategy.  Besides all that, I work hard, obsess about my work until it's just right, and always play nice with others.  I think you'll like me.

The name 17,000 Feet?  It's a meaningful metaphor that comes from my obsession with Mount Everest, whose Base Camp is located at approximately 17,000 feet above sea level.  It's about knowing your final objective and working tirelessly to achieve it despite treacherous ice falls, frostbitten fingers, fights among teammates, equipment failures, headaches, unexpected obstacles and near-death experiences -- it's a lot like advertising.   But when it all comes together and you make it to the top*, it's an amazing feeling.

*Ok, so I don't actually know what it feels like to summit Mt. Everest.  But I'm sure it's a lot like  creating a stellar print ad.
